The Honorable Samuel Tinsing Mok

Samuel Tinsing Mok is the Managing Member of Condor International Advisors, LLC, a Washington D.C. based management consulting firm providing relationship management and strategy advisory services to Asian companies doing business in America. He is also chief operating officer of W-G Capital Advisors, a DC based private equity fund with a commercial real estate development focus. He was elected president of the National China Garden Foundation in January, 2016.
In 2001 he was appointed by President George W. Bush and confirmed by the United States Senate as the Chief Financial Officer of the U.S. Department of Labor. Previously, he served as the Comptroller and first and only career CFO of the U.S. Department of the Treasury. He was also commissioned Foreign Service Officer at the United States Department of State and Captain in the U.S. Army. Additionally, he was the Director of Accounting for Time-Life Books, Treasurer of U.S. News and World Report and Liquor Commissioner for Montgomery County, Maryland.
Current and past affiliations include, the Republic of the Marshall Islands Trust Fund Committee, the General Administration Board of the U.S. Department of Agriculture Graduate School, Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA), the Government Accountability Office (GAO) Advisory Council on Government Audit Standards, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) Advisory Council on Standards for Internal Control in Federal Government, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Academy for Government Accountability. He received The Ellis Island Medals of Honor in 2007. Mr. Mok also served as the National President of the Association of Government Accountants from 2008- 2009.
Mr. Mok received his B.S. in Accounting from Fordham University and a M.A. in Accounting from The Catholic University of America. He earned his Certified Internal Auditor credential in 1986 and was qualified as a Certified Government Financial Manager in 1994.
