Jeanne Connelly is currently President of Connelly Consulting LLC, a Government Affairs consulting firm that provides strategic advice to corporations and non-profit organizations on public policy and legislative advocacy in Washington, D.C.

Prior to this, Ms. Connelly served in Washington, D.C. as Senior Vice President – Government Affairs for Calpine Corporation, then the largest independent energy company in North America. In this position, Ms. Connelly was responsible for the development, coordination and advocacy of Calpine’s public policy positions at the international, federal and state level.

From 1985 to 2000, Ms. Connelly served as Director and then Vice President of Government Affairs for Champion International Corporation, an international forest products company. Prior to that, Ms. Connelly served in attorney positions with the law firm of Steptoe & Johnson, the U.S. Senate Labor and Human Resources Committee, the Legal Services Corporation, and Community Legal Services of Philadelphia.

Ms. Connelly is an Emeritus Member and Past Chair of the Board of Trustees of National University in California, Member and Past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Friends of the National Arboretum in Washington, D.C., and an Emeritus Member of the Washington Trustees of the Federal City Council.

Ms. Connelly is a graduate of Rutgers University School of Law and Temple University, did undergraduate work at Bucknell University, and is a member of the Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia Bars. Ms. Connelly is married with two grown children and is an avid world traveler having visited over 100 countries.
